Madrilenian Toast (Torrijas)

INGREDIENTS
1 L of milk, olive oil
1 lb of honey
1 lb of sugar
8 eggs
Bread slices

PREPARATION

Cut a large loaf of bread in thick slice (you can also buy special store bought bread). Mix the milk and sugar in a deep bowl.

Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl. Fry the bread slices in a pan with boiling oil previously passed through the sugary milk and whisked egg, until they are browned. Strain them well.

Detail to consider.
Presentation:
Place the slices on a dish and pour the honey on top. It is also common to add the rest of the sugary milk to the dish and soak the slices to make them thicker.
